Bophut Shopping

What to Buy and Where to Shop in Bophut

The best way to truly appreciate the many souvenir shops in Bophut is to park outside the Fisherman's Village and stroll up and down the main street that contains the shops and restaurants. Take your time – there are plenty of places to stop for a coffee or a beer break.

As you head down to the pier there are several T-shirt, sandals and handcrafted souvenir shops but once on the main street you will see fashionable boutiques such as Saona Collection (former Samana Boutique) or Amrapalli which come up from the lot. Bophut is not a shopaholics destination (nearby Chaweng has more dedicated shopping options) yet hosts enough small stores to satisfy the average shopper.

Blue Glue

Part of an exclusive US swimwear brand, this large beach house-style store is one of three in Koh Samui (the other two are in Chaweng) and only four in all of Thailand (the other one being in Bangkok). They stock a wide range of ladies swimwear, bikinis and accessories, some of which are Thai-inspired. The wares on offer have a great unique style and a very fashionable look, which the store’s own sun-bleached beach hut-style décor perfectly complements. As you would expect, this level of quality does come at a not-inconsiderable cost.
