Ladyboy Cabarets might not be everyones cup of tea but for the fans among you, Chaweng beach has plenty to choose from! Thailand's Katoeys or the third sex are world famous, partly because there are so many of them and also because they are so feminine. In fact it can be difficult to tell if the beautiful young lady paying you attention was a lady at birth...as many an unfortunate tourist has discovered! Whether you go out of curiosity or genuine enjoyment the cabarets are always a wild and fun night out. Most of the cabarets in Chaweng are located near the Central hotel which makes for interesting competition before the show. The girls hand out flyers and sometimes drag you in to their bar forcibly! Star Cabaret is not as glamorous as Christy's but show is hilarious! When the girls aren't poking fun at themselves or teasing an unfortunate audience member, they are performing one of the funniest shows on the island. The newest cabaret on the block, G-Bar is a gay bar that features a cabaret show. The funky bar is comfortable and has a good drinks menu. Entry is free but the drinks are a little more expensive than the other cabarets. The show starts at 10pm every night.
