Hemingway’s sits on Thong Krut Beach, on the southern coast of Koh Samui, and serves a collection of local Thai food as well as Western bites in a rustic setting. The restaurant is designed to have a beach bar theme and offers views over the sea, with Koh Taen and Koh Mudsum in the background.
At Hemingway’s you can expect Thai specialities like fried rice and mixed vegetables with cashew nuts, as well as a wealth of curries with local seafood. Other choices include freshly caught fish like sea bass as well as pineapple fried rice and local favourite pad Thai, a dish of stir-fried fried noodles with seafood. There are also meat based dishes available if you prefer like garlic chicken or chicken with cashew nuts.

You can come to Hemingway’s for either a relaxed drink such as local or imported beers, or a glass of wine. Although note that the wine list only has a few choices. They also serve cocktails like fruity Pina Colada, juices, and soft drinks. There are also options for children although there is no dedicated children’s menu as such. Prices are reasonable as this is more of a beach bar and restaurant rather than an upscale dining experience.
You can even take a cooking class here with the Thai chef if you want to learn more about how to use local ingredients.
