This dive is perfect for beginners or for those in training.  Japanese Garden is a sheltered site just off the east side of Nangyuan Island (a group of three small islands joined by sandy beaches to the northern end of Koh Tao). The site can be accessed from a boat or from the beach on Nangyuan Island and it offers an ideal training ground. The picturesque coral garden gently slopes down to a maximum depth of 18 metres over sand with the majority of the soft and hard corals in the top 10 metres of water.
