Still relatively un-commercialised Krabi nevertheless gets quite busy during the peak season (Dec-Jan) so it's best to book accommodation in advance.Located on the Andaman seaboard, Krabi province is just a three hour drive from Phuket (176 km) on the Andaman coast and a 3 hour drive from Koh Samui (via mainland Surathani (211 km from Krabi) on the opposite Gulf of Siam coast. No direct flights operate to date between Koh Samui and Krabi, but may do so in the future.
