A Jump at Samui Bungy Jump is 1,500 baht, a DVD costs 200 baht and a T-shirt is 350 baht. 

They estimate to have welcomed around 50,000 satisfied customers over the years and offer specialist jumps such as backwards, running and reverse bungees as well as the everyday bungee from a 50m crane over the deepest swimming pool in Southern Thailand at 3.5 metres.

Are you qualified to jump?

In theory, if you’re of average health and don’t cry too easily then you’re good to go and more than ok to give bungee jumping a try. But to jump from 50 metres with only a large elastic cord attached to you, you will probably need more than just good health; this sort of stuff requires steely nerves and a lot of courage.

There have been rare reports of people developing eye complications and the like because of this extreme sport (generally speaking, not necessarily from jumping at Samui Bungy Jump) so it’s best to consult a physician beforehand if you have any doubts at all. Then just go for it!

There is no age restriction but they have a minimum weight restriction of 36kg and a maximum of 150kg. All youngsters under 18 require an adult to sign a waiver form, for insurance purposes. The majority of jumpers are in their 20s and 30s but there have been people as young as 13 who have successfully jumped while the oldest jumper is believe to be 71 years old.

Regarding what to wear for a jump; light and comfortable athletic togs will do just fine. On an important note for woman jumpers, one should be aware of the nature of this activity and wear something secure and appropriate. It’s also a known fact that if you prefer to have a more vivid photo, then try to wear colourful clothes.
