Samui Disc Golf (aka Samui Frisbee Golf) is an extremely popular venue for the whole family located 1.2km South of Samui Ring Road, in Maenam. The origins of Disc Golf (aka Frolf or Frisbee Golf) date back to the beginning of the twentieth century, but this fun activity only started to be recognised in the sixties before to become really fashionable with the doubling of Disc Golf courses in the world since 2000. Samui Frisbee Golf nine-hole course is set in a fruit orchard therefore offers an agreeable shaded area to play. This leisure activity offers Samui visitors a half-day of fun at affordable rates (adults: 250 baht and children: 100 baht). Kitesurfing in Maenam

Kitesurfing or kiteboarding is a popular activity in Koh Samui which hosts a good number of schools dispensing courses of this extreme sport combining surfing and paragliding. Maenam is one of the favourite spots for Kitesurfing in Samui due to its excellent location sheltered by Koh Phangan to the North (another great kiteboarding spot holding Phangan Breeze Kite Jam yearly competition) and featuring perfect wind conditions – from eight to 20 knots – from November to March.
