The Boudoir is a chic and cosy restaurant located in a small lane off Samui’s Ring Road in Maenam. John's Garden Restaurant & Bar is a stylish restaurant set in the superbly landscaped garden of a traditional Thai house located off Samui Ring Road in the Wat Napralarn Soi leading to Lompraya Pier. Pancake Man is a borderline legendary venue in Koh Samui. Khun Lek ‘Pancake Man’ has been established for years in Maenam (since 1999) along Samui Ring Road and has slowly become famous for the quality of his pancakes. Banana, chocolate, caramel, Nutella, and other flavours are available to give Mr Lek’s pancakes an incomparable flavour; after experiencing salted pancakes with stuffed meat, Pancake Man went back to make only sweet pancakes which proved more popular. His ‘pancake bar’ is permanently installed and features a few plastic tables and chairs for guests to enjoy their snack.

Whilst the view from outside Arun@Samui may not be much to look at, this is one of the most famous venues in Maenam to sample genuine Thai cuisine. Run by Sue, a friendly and talkative Thai woman who spent many years in Sidney where her restaurant won the 1991 ‘Bent Fork’ award, Arun@Samui is set in a tiny shop-house featuring a simple dining room which is also used as a kitchen for the Thai cooking courses held here every Tuesday and Thursday.
