Soi Green MangoChaweng
Chaweng is Koh Samui's 'party central' and the epicentre of all this hedonism and fun is undoubtedly Soi Green Mango. A classic Chaweng night out wouldn't be complete without partying in the Green Mango Club with stops at the surrounding venues like Bar Solo, Hush Bar, Sweet Soul Café, Mint Bar and Sound Pub.
Soi Green Mango is easy to find on Chaweng Beach Road, surrounded by hotels, shops and restaurants. At night, all life seems drawn to this small soi and you'll hear it before you can see it. Read More...

Ark Bar is a lively beachfront venue that offers food, drinks, a chilled groove. It has been a Samui party institution for quite a few years. It's a good place to mingle and party to DJ sets with like-minded travellers from all around the world.
Even though it's changed hands several times the bar/restaurant still uses the same methods to draw people in, with fire dancers, fire shows, dining and dancing on the beach and a relaxed atmosphere that extends to a children-friendly vibe, even late at night. Read More...

Coco Tams is a fun and extremely popular beach bar in Bophut, located just outside of The Wharf Samui. With beanbags on the beach, swing seats at the bar, cabanas, shisha and even a large projector screen, it's the ideal tropical relaxation spot and one of the top nightlife attractions in Fisherman’s Village.
The venue is very much an open-air arrangement, with only a couple of palm-thatch buildings to find once you enter the well-maintained area, with a neat little garden separating it from Bophut Beach Road. The look and feel is that of an easy-going rustic beach bar, with palms and people nodding to chillout tunes. Come here for dinner around 7 pm and watch the fire show performed nightly. Read More...

Right in the centre of Lamai, opposite McDonalds, is a 2,000 sqm plaza hosting a dozen beer bars (or "bar beers", as they are called in Thailand). Most of them are lit up through the night in gaudy neon lights, with names like Hollywood, Why Not, and Longhorn Bar (this one is a long-established water hole in a bar scene that's in constant evolution).
Each of these Lamai beer bars follows a similar format of cheap drinks and easy conversation, but each plays its own music at various volumes – producing a lively cacophony. Simple street food snacks are also available from vendors. Read More...

SEEN Beach Club Samui
SEEN Beach Club Samui is a swanky, retro-themed venue on Chaweng Beach, just south of Koh Samui Airport. There are plenty of colourful cushioned seats spread across chequered floors, as well as a Cali-style metallic trailer next to a swim-up cocktail bar. It's enough to make you think you’re back in the roaring ‘50s in Koh Samui.
The beach club’s piece de resistance is its infinity pool, which rolls right out to meet Chaweng Beach. You can enjoy an extensive food menu of chilled oysters, sushi, and pizza, along with your choice of cocktails, champagnes, top-shelf spirits and wines. Pool parties often take place at SEEN Beach Club Samui, which gets packed with well-dressed locals and travellers until late.

Woobar is part of the stylish W Retreat Koh Samui, a modern upscale resort located on the small cape separating Bophut from Maenam. Featuring a large outdoor deck with a swimming pool, the bar has a stunning contemporary style enhanced by the panoramic view over the sea, which encompasses the northeastern part of Samui, and Koh Phangan lying some 12 km away off the shore.
Even though the bar doesn’t directly face the sunset, it offers a pleasant sundowner spot due to its amazing view. Note that there’s a 600 baht entrance fee applied between 11 am and 6.30 pm, which can be redeemed against food and beverages.

Samui cabaret showsChaweng & Lamai
Samui cabarets are typically live dance shows performed by elegant transgender artists. In Chaweng and Lamai, you can enjoy a sparkling evening out with this fun form of entertainment.
A typical show involves lip-synched interpretations of popular songs, complete with elaborate costumes and make-up. Some of the performances are skilfully choreographed and the tone is light-hearted, joyful, and sprinkled with glitter and glitz. There are several theatres and bars holding cabaret shows in Samui, and you'll see them advertised during your walks close to the beach. Read More...
On Street BarChaweng
On Street Bar is certainly the most original venue in Chaweng’s tremendous nightlife scene. This tiny venue is set on a small piece of waste ground right next to the entrance of KC Beach Club Hotel and is made of corrugated iron and recycled wood painted in bright colours. This ramshackle design helps to draw in the crowds. Without the catchy display, the 1-metre-wide façade would be totally upstaged by the shop next door selling vivid paper chandeliers.
Made with any old things and featuring recovered furnishing and décor set on the open ground, On Street Bar is a very popular water hole serving great value drinks. It's proof that the trendiness of a venue is not always related to the amount of money invested to make it shiny and attractive. Read More...
