Central Festival Samui

Lifestyle Shopping Complex in Chaweng

Central Festival Samui describes itself as 'the most complete and largest lifestyle shopping complex in Samui’. With 3 storeys and around 90,000 square metres of retail space, there couldn't be a better description for this huge shopping and dining mall, which is located between Chaweng's Beach Road and the nearby lake.

Centrally set in the prime east coast resort town of Samui Island, Central Festival Samui completely changed the face of Chaweng. The mall has 4 sections – Chaweng Port, Bird Cage, Fisherman Village, and Beach Town Market. This modern and trendy complex boasts some original architectural features with its central open-air atrium and a beautifully landscaped garden area that comes completes with benches, a kid's playground and countless shops and restaurants.

Chaweng Port and Bird Cage at Central Festival Samui

Chaweng Port is the main entrance of Central Festival Samui on Chaweng Beach Road, directly opposite OZO Chaweng Samui. It features restaurants and bars on and around a large outdoor terrace including a Starbucks, The Coffee Club, a cocktail lounge, The Kitchen Thai & International Cuisine, and Wine Connection – all in all over 2 dozen venues dedicated to food and beverages set over 2 floors.

‘Bird Cage’ is the fashion zone of the complex; located in the central part of the shopping mall and decorated in an ultra-modern Sino-Portuguese style, it hosts about 20 large shops such as Supersports, Uniqlo and smaller boutiques gathering all the most famous international brands such as Adidas, Camel, Esprit, Geox, Playboy, Rip Curl, Jim Thompson, and X-Act, just to name a few.

Fisherman Village and Beach Town Market at Central Festival Samui

The ‘Fisherman Village’ zone hosts Central Department Store, a large shopping haven at which you can find a vast choice of branded clothing and accessories as well as a children's playground and seating area for the parents. On the second floor, a cool attraction awaits those looking for an adrenalin kick: Horror House Pirate Adventure – which reconstitutes an old pirate’s galleon haunted by the evil spirit of its previous occupants.

The last zone – ‘Beach Town Market’ – is the second main entrance of the complex and is situated at its northern end, right next to Phru Chaweng Public Park. There's a partially open-air food court on the ground floor, as well as a gaming arcade on the second floor.

Central Festival Samui has brought Chaweng Beach well and truly into the 21st century, offering over 200 shops, bars, restaurants and recreational activities to the ever-growing number of visitors to this favourite Koh Samui destination.
